Reminders: By now, you should have the following completed. 1. A clear and concise sustained investigation question. This should be written in your sketchbook and photographed. If you do NOT have a clear direction, conference with Mrs. Medio/other students, view reference material(mentioned above) to view how other artists have approached their inquiry, mind map about concepts important to you. 2. Clear, well taken photos, of each noteworthy sketch/mind map in your sketchbook. These photos should not be blurry or include other random items. They should not be taken crooked, in poor lighting, or have only half of your work in them. They should be good quality and taken as if you will be submitting them to college board. I will begin marking off for photo clarity in the week of 10/7. 3. 15 Sketches related to your inquiry. These sketches are meant to be ideas of what work could actually look like- not basic ideas like “man on boat”, but a small, not detailed, image of a man on a boat within a border. If your inquiry has changed, submit 15 NEW sketches related to your specific question. This will help you to determine if your question can take you in enough different paths of thought to sustain your investigation through March. 4. Join the AP Art and Design Classroom on REMIND- Will be graded based on completion 10/4. Join code on the resources page of this website. This will be the easiest way for me to remind you if something is missing, contact you about contest info, speak with you about changes to the grade book or any other quick conversation we need to have since class time together is so tight. 5. LOOK AT THE GRADEBOOK- Most students are missing grades for not uploading/completing past work. All Uploads are ASSESSMENT GRADES because they are THAT IMPORTANT. Therefore, you should upload a significant amount of images(evidence of your work), weekly. If you have uploaded NEW material, you need me to view and adjust a grade, you must inform me. ** Many of these items are simple, "Easy A" items, such as uploading work you already completed. Don't let your grade suffer due to ignoring due dates. This is a college level class.** No School 10/9 |
